Let's Go to Luckenback, TX,,,,,,,

Well, we didn't have Waylin and Willie and the boys - it was just DH and myself.
But we had a great time!!
We got 4 whole nights out of town and away from the house - by ourselves!!!
Haven't done that in a while and it was much needed.
While I am busy scrapping my trip, here is a look at the Rooster that runs around Luckenbach
I swear this rooster was there the last time I went - which was a few years ago.
This bird is a HOOT- he runs around begging from everybody.
They have a few chickens and the rooster - the kids that are there love them.

I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving!! I have pies to bake tomorrow - yummy!

My Girls - Sketch Savvy #65

Can you believe it is only one week until Thanksgiving here in the US???
Where has this year gone to??? Time flies when you are having fun I guess!!

Today I have a Lo that I made using the sketch over at Sketch Savvy I really loved the flow of the sketch as soon as I saw it. My LO came together so easily
My papers are from Authentique - love the new lines. I have also used lots of
Maya Road (if there is a cooler company on earth than Maya Road I don't
know who they are!!!) my Sizzix die for the little fence, and some beads from my stash.
My inks are Tsukineko and I have used my sewing machine as well.

Here is the sketch
This one is from a few weeks ago - but I have had it in my pile waiting for the right photos.
Check out the Sketch Savvy Blog for lots of other great sketches too.

I am off for a weekend away with DH tomorrow evening and we
may not come back until next Wed. We are headed down to the Hill Country
here in Texas for a little R&R. I'll see you when I get back!!

It All Started With A Mouse

How did you get into scrapbooking?
I got sucked into the black hole by my BFF -
I just wanted to make ONE little album about our
family trip to Disney World.
HAH!
Now I am hooked!! Who knew there was so much cool stuff to buy????
Today I have a LO for Once Upon A Sketch  and the prompt
was how you got into scrapbooking.
See all that stuff?? That is just the stuff I carry to retreat when I go!!!
My papers are Bo Bunny and EK Success, with some Bazzill cardstock. My embellies are Maya Road, Prima, Recollections and K&Co.
Here is a look at the sketch I used
Have you been over to Once Upon A Sketch???
They have great challenges every month.

Snowfall

Howdy fellow bloggers!
Hope your weekend has been fabulous so far!
I have had lots of scrapping time this weekend - so happy about that!
Today I have a LO that I made using the sketch over at Helmar
My papers are from Bo Bunny, cardstock is from Bazzill. I  have also used Maya Road, ZVA, Fiskars and EK Success punches, Ranger and other stuff fem my stash.
I cut the snowflakes with my Cricut. The bottom layers have been heat embossed with iridescent powder. The top layers I glittered using Art Glitter glue. This stuff is amazing - you can apply the tiniest amounts exactly where you want it!
I used my McGill punch to make lots of little snowflakes.

I was going to link up over at Paper Issues , but I wrote the wrong deadline date down!
Hate it when that happens!!!
The challenge was Snow

Thanks for stopping by today!
Have a wonderful week :o)

Lost Loves

Today I have a LO made with the new Bo Bunny Enchanted Papers- I love how the black
and white let me stack layer upon layer and they all melded together.
I have used an OLD photo of my Daddy and my Grandmother, both of whom are no longer with us.
Here is my LO
Aren't these papers beautiful???? I really wanted to have some space
between the layers, so I used foam tape to separate them all.
My embellishments are from Maya Road, May Arts. Martha Stewart crafts, Prima
and some random items from my stash.
I fussy cut one sheet to make a frame, rolling the edges back from the
center for added texture and dimension.
Here is a closer look at how much layering there is - used a lot of foam dots!

I have used the sketch from over at Stuck On U Sketches  which perfectly
fit the circle frame I wanted to cut out.
I only had one photo, as there just aren't that many of my Daddy when he was a little boy.

Thanks for stopping by today!
Happy Veteran's Day!!!
As a retired Marine Corps wife, I know how much work it is to serve your country.
Everyone who does deserves special thanks.

My Heart

Happy Humpday blogging friends!
I know, it has been forever since I posted. First we had the sickies,
then we had to go out of town for a wedding, then I had to sew a costume for
my DD who is going to a Renaissance Fair this weekend. I finished the vest today ~
so I all have left to do is hem the skirt and I an DONE! Thank goodness!!!!

On to my LO,,,, I have used the Sketchy Thursdays wonderful sketch today. I haven't
been able to play over there for a few weeks, I keep missing the deadline!!
My papers are from Bo Bunny, I have also used Maya Road, Prima, Tattered Angels,
K&Co, Authentique and some others from my stash. I have inked and
distressed my edges and sewn here and there with my machine.

Here is a look at the fabulous sketch this week
As you can see I rotated the sketch 90 degrees, and then I had to move my title too!
The added challenge was the theme of "Gratitude, Thankfulness or Thanksgiving".
I chose to my sweet  little babies (although they are not little and most days not so sweet anymore)
for my LO - I am so thankful for them! They make me so happy (most of the time)

I am also entering this over at Bird Is The Word , where the word is "Adore"
which I have used in my journaling.

Thanks for stopping by.... Leave me a comment -
I love to hear what is going on inside your head!
Have a great rest of the week
