Vintage Snowman Ornament with Smoothfoam - 99+ Handmade Gifts Bloghop

Hi everyone, I am so happy to be a part of the 99+ Handmade Christmas Gifts Blog Hop this week.

Today I want to share a fun ornament I made using Smoothfoam.  I am trying to get ahead of the game this year with my Christmas prep, and I have been busy making ornaments. This cute snowman is one of my favorites- I love the vintage vibe it has going on.

Supplies:
1 3/4" Diameter Smoothfoam Ball
2 1/2" Diameter Smoothfoam Ball
Acrylic Paint, Paintbrush, Glitter Modge Podge, Ribbon, Buttons, Lace, Paper flower, Molding Paste, Glitter, Rub-on, Pearl tipped pin, adhesive, small wood dowel

1. Paint the balls with white craft paint, then a coat of Glitter Modge Podge. I sliced the tiniest bit off one side of each ball, then adhered them together using a wood dowel and adhesive.
2. I used a rub-on for the face and adhered buttons on the bottom ball.
3. Wrap a ribbon around the neck of the snowman, using a pearl tipped pin to hold it in place.
4. Stack buttons together to make a hat, add a small but of lace around the brim; add molding paste on the top and brim of the hat, sprinkle with glitter while wet. When dry add a small flower.

Peace on Earth Stamped Frame

Good morning everyone, I hope you are having a

Happy Thanksgiving!

Today I want to share a fun project I made using a product from Deflecto Craft- Superior Image® Beveled Edge Sign Holder 5x7. This Frame comes apart so that you can easily insert whatever you like inside, then reattach the two pieces. Super easy to switch out the insert when needed.

I knew as soon as I saw it that I wanted to stamp on it. I decided to stamp in layers since the frame was clear acrylic. The graphic in the frame is from the Silhouette Store.

I used three different colors of StazOn inks, so that I could see what I was doing I placed a piece of kraft cardstock underneath the acrylic.

I stamped all the way around the top edge of the frame using Moonlight and used my heat gut to help dry it.

On the back panel of the frame, I stamped using Cotton White then Azure StazOn slightly off set from the first image.

I love the way the layers of snowflakes look when both sides of the frame are put back together! I added some bling to the front of the frame for some extra dimension.

Be sure to check out all the fabulous ideas from the Deflecto USA Ambassador Design Team on our Facebook Page and Pinterest Boards to see some other fabulous ideas.

Thanks so much for stopping by today and have a fabulous holiday weekend!

Decorated Photo Cube Ornaments - 99+ Handmade Gifts Bloghop with The Crafty Scrapper

Hi everyone, today I have another installment in my handmade ornaments for the 99+ Handmade Gifts Blog Hop!

Today I am using some Smoothfoam 3" Cubes for my ornaments. I used the new Bo Bunny Candy Cane Lane papers for my base on these, then pulled lots of embellies from my stash to decorate them.

I used lots of Maya Road on all three of these ornaments.

Of course, I needed to add some bling to these, so I added some dangling crystals from each one.

I am in love with this Maya Road sparkly piece- it just looks good on anything you put it on!

I bought this watch glass YEARS ago and I am glad to finally put it to use!

Some of these embellies are no longer available I am afraid to say, but it would be so easy for you to pull a whole stack of things from your stash and make something so fun!

Visions of Sugar Plums Daily December Journal

Hi everyone, it is almost that time of year again and I hope you are ready to start recording your December memories. Yesterday I taught my annual workshop for the Daily December Journal at The Crafty Scrapper- I think this was my favorite one so far!

I used the new Graphic 45 'Twas the Night Before Christmas paper line to decorate a Maya Road 8x8 Chipboard album. I really wanted the cover to shine- I have had this idea percolating in mind for a while and I am really happy with how it turned out.

I used Wendy Vechhi's Embossing Paste to create my texture, added some bling, and other embellishments.  Of course, I always add a lot of sparkly things hanging from the spine- some cute ornaments, a Santa jingle bell, beads and pearls, and some ribbons.

Some Maya Road pins and twine, a little bit of glitter and a journal card from the matching embellishments round out the cover.

I always like to add unexpected pages in my albums and for this one I used some fabulous glassine envelopes I had to create pages on the front and back, and added a large tag inside.

For these pages I used a sheet of watercolor paper and folded it into sections to create pockets and flaps.

I also used a large Kraft envelope to add a tag in the center and pages on both sides.

Are you still here? I know there are lots of photos here but this was a large album!

We had a great time at the workshop yesterday - but I was so busy I forgot to take photos! This class was sold out- there are not even any kits left. This paper line is available in the store- so if you would like to create something along these lines be sure to pick some up before it is all gone!

Thanks so much for stopping by today and have a fabulous week!

Merry Christmas - Layout with Sparkle N Sprinkle

Good evening everyone, I hope you have had a wonderful crafty weekend and are ready to greet the week with cheer!  Today I have a layout made with some wonderful products from Sparkle N Sprinkle.

My papers are My Mind's Eye, a collection from a couple of years ago. I pulled some chipboards, flowers and ribbons from my stash to put my layout together.

I applied 2 1/2" Tear-ific Tape to cardstock, cut my sentiment on my Cameo, applied Japanese Lacquer EP and heat set.

After coloring my large star from Technique Tuesday with Gelatos, I randomly stamped it with the Journal Mixed Media stamp set and VersaMark, and heat embossed with Pear Star EP. The sentiment here is from Camera Life, and I have heat embossed it with Black Detail EP.

I love adding little bits of lace and ribbon to my layouts, and these styles that are new in the shop at Sparkle N Sprinkle are perfect for my style!

Thanks so much for stopping by today, and have a wonderful week!

Christmas Class Kits in the making

I have been busy all night making kits for my Christmas class at The Crafty  Scrapper this weekend. So many fun things going into this kit!!!

Getting New Floors, Life Interrupted

I have been a bit MIA of late.  We are getting new floors in our house and of course this required me to pack most everything in the house up so they could move it.

The worst part had been packing the TEN THOUSAND and 11 pieces of stuff in my studio.  Because you know you can't pack that stuff up without looking at it.  And looking at it means going through it.  And that means getting distracted.

Which means it is taking a lot longer than I planned.  Sigh.

I'll be back to creating soon,  and blogging all about it.  Hope you are keeping warm and dry where ever you are.

Anita.

Winter? Bring it on! Sparkle N Sprinkle Layout

Hi everyone, today I want to share a layout I made using the new stamp set Finn's Scarf DIGI#672 for Sparkle N Sprinkle.

I used my Silhouette Cameo's Print and Cut feature first, then used my PITT® Pastel Pencils from Faber-Castell to color the image. My papers are the new Lawn Fawn Snow Day.

I heat embossed my chipboard snowflakes with Mediterranean Star EP, then again with Opaline EP on top. I added stripes of sparkle on my border paper by applying 1/4" Tear-ific Tape, then burnishing with Seaspray GL.
I used a stencil and molding past on the background, then sprinkled parts of it with Arctic EP. I also stamped on the background with Flourishes 1 #516, and heat embossed with Arctic EP.

After coloring with m pastel pencils, I added a few highlights with a white pen.

Here are a few of the products I used on my layout:
