For my project I chose to work with the Jewelry Resin and Jewelry Clay. I have been hoarding saving a couple of pendants for several years now and this was just the project to use them on!

I picked up these Spellbinders bezels a looonnnggg time ago, seriously they have been hanging out in my drawer for a long time.

I started by mixing equal amounts of each part of the jewelry clay together, then I colored half of the mixture a teal blue.

For this piece, I filled the center with the Jewelry Clay and presses a vintage button into the center. While the clay was still wet I pressed micro glitter all around the clay to color it.

For this piece I used the colored clay, filled the center and then pressed a metal jewelry charm into the center. I covered the wet clay with Fairy Dust Glitter to make it sparkle.

For the last piece I covered the bottom with tiny wooden stars from Um Wow Studios, then sprinkled micro beads all around. (Don't judge me - you know you still have some of those Micro Beads in your stash too!).  Because I wanted a fair amount of dimension in this piece, I did NOT glue the stars down.

I mixed the Jewelry Resin in a 1:1 ratio and mixed according to directions, then poured it over the stars filling the entire piece.

Because the Jewelry Resin is made to de-gas itself (meaning get rid of the bubbles) I knew there would be movement in the resin as it hardened and I counted on this to move some of the stars around. As you can see, some of the stars are flat on the bottom, some are in the middle and some are all the way at the top! The beads dispersed themselves as well making for a very cool effect.

Now- we have a great prize up for the following along on the hop - the more comments you leave the more entries to win you will receive! And look at this great prize,,,,

Seriously, who would not want to win this???  Use the Rafflecopter link below to enter on each blog. Happy hopping and good luck!!

Back to School Fun with Deflecto

Hi everyone - who is ready for back to school? It seems like it is so early these days!! This months theme for the  Deflecto Craft DT is Back To School so here is a look at the projects I came up with.

I am all about using vinyl to decorate EVERYTHING these days so that was my go to for this project. To really make the designs stand out, I outlined and filled in the designs with a white paint pen.

For my Reading Bank I started with a Wet Erase Sign and removed the insert.
I took a 5x7 Beveled Edge Frame apart and used just the two clear panels for this project.

I cut the vinyl with my Cameo Silhouette and applied it the front panel.

I used very thin double sided tape to adhere the panels to the Wet Erase base, then finished off with some ribbons, and die cut stickers.

Be sure to check out the new Deflecto Blog for more great ideas and thanks for stopping by today!
